Hey,
I want to start this Welcome, as we are calling it, by simply saying Thank You.
Thank You for being a reader, Thank You if you subscribe (if not please consider doing so), Thank You for being part of our community here - across on iNostalgia and on our Facebook page too!
It is hard to believe roughly a year ago Myself (Andy) and Vicky were able to take over iNostalgia and take forward the legacy of Henry in the work of iNostalgia and Nostalgia Digital.
We never for a second sugarcoated the reality that it would be an uphill struggle, we knew the site had issues, we knew the site too had been ‘offline’ pretty much for 6 months or more at the point we rescued it. But we are grateful, so much, for every persons support - both those who were visitors to the old site, customers of iNostalgia publishing, and those who are brand new and simply enjoying our writing each week.
In the past year we’ve grown and grown - across both of our sites - we’ve been able to work with some great friends such as Rev Peter Barham who explores amazing churches across the UK, our amazing collaborator Clive Hardy has been a true font of knowledge on all things rail transport and we’ve explored particularly the British Rail years, and of course our friend Malc Phelby who covers all kinds of topics. Plus we doff our cap to others who have written for us, such as our great friend Kai a true history and music lover, and dear friend of Nostalgia Digital
a TV Nostalgia connoisseur. Without them all, and others we would not be here today. But this all sounds like we are just patting out own backs a little too much, we aren’t. Today, as we said last year, we just want to be upfront and honest…
We need your help, we need more people to see our articles.
It’s pretty simple - and it doesn’t got you a penny.
By sharing our articles on social media you help send signals to both those platforms but also to search engines to say “look at this” - this really helps us to be seen by other people.
It takes 2 seconds and all you need to do is click the share button on an article - or copy the URL in the top of your browser, paste it to your social post and post it. Thats it.
The button looks a little like this …
Every share is truly appreciated.
If you want to do more, you can sign up to become a paid member… its just a few pound a month and all the money get put back into running the sites.
Finally, if you are already subscribed, you can gift a subscription to someone who really likes history or nostalgia.
Indeed we know lots of people do this as a gift for a birthday, or a gift for Christmas (etc). Its a lovely idea and its the gift that keeps on giving week after week.
Simply click this link and you can give now.
Finally, once again we want to say thank you to everyone for being part of our community. You are amazing.
